Stackfolk is a real-time survival card game prototype.
Prepare during the day, survive the night.
You drag and stack cards to build an economy, craft tools and weapons, and keep your village alive through 12 day/night cycles.

This itch build is a public test focused on game feel, pacing, and clarity.
If players respond well, we plan to continue development toward a Steam release.

## How Crafting Works
- Crafting happens by stacking matching materials/cards together in one stack.
- Recipes are discoverable through play.
- Once a recipe becomes craftable at least once, it stays visible in the recipe panel.
- When required materials are currently available on the board, that recipe is highlighted as ready.

## Weapons and Combat
- At night, enemies enter the board and pressure your setup.
- To attack, stack weapon cards directly onto enemy cards.
- Weapons use durability ("Uses"): each hit spends uses, and the weapon breaks at 0.
- Some weapons are area attacks (blast radius) and can hit multiple enemies.

## Food and Night Rules
- At the start of each night, villagers consume food servings (usually from Berry cards).
- Required servings = current villager count.
- If food is short by N, exactly N villagers die from starvation.

## Lose / Win Conditions
- Game Over if all villagers die.
- Game Over if Base HP reaches 0.
- Clear the run by surviving to Day 12 and defeating all enemies on the final night.

## Controls
- Drag cards to move/stack
- Drag on empty playfield to draw a selection box and pick multiple cards
- Space: Pause / Resume
